Strategic Supply Chain Management Leadership Program

Final Examination

The Final Examination is the last step in attaining the SCMP designation and is held once each year, at locations across Canada.

The examination tests the ability of candidates to apply the knowledge that is presented in the Strategic Supply Chain Management Leadership Program (SSCMLP), as well as the skills gained through a candidate’s practical experience.

Format

The format of the examination consists of two parts, written on separate days.

Part 1 is a series of four short case questions. Part 2 is a full case analysis, written two days after Part 1.

At the end of writing Part 1, candidates are provided with a background paper on the case for Part 2. The paper contains background information such as the economic, political and social conditions existing in the full case analysis.

This allows candidates to develop an understanding of the context for the case that they will be analyzing. They can then spend their exam time preparing their response rather than reading background material. The nature of the required response to the case is provided at the Examination Centre at the commencement of Part 2.

2012 Examination Dates

The dates of the 2012 Final Examination have been scheduled for June 26 and 28. The Exam is held at locations across the country.
